The Oklahoma Ambulatory Surgery Center Association was formed so individuals and facilities providing ambulatory care can gather their resources together:
- To unify the voice of all ambulatory surgery providers
- To develop and promote high standards of patient care in ambulatory surgery
- To gather and disseminate information concerning legislation on the national and state levels which affects ambulatory surgery services, and to recommend and/or take appropriate action
- To inform the public, governmental agencies and private businesses as to the services offered by ambulatory surgery providers
- To collaborate with local, state and national level organizations representing ambulatory surgery providers and other health-related organizations
- To initiate, sponsor, and promote educational programs for ambulatory surgery providers
- To promote ambulatory surgery as an integral component of the health care industry
- To develop a network by which market and industry information can be shared to provide a safer, more cost-effective ambulatory surgery environment.
